the knowing
There's a seaside place I know, down the road from where I grew up. Visiting there as a small child, I imagined a near-death experience when I fell of a pier. Some years later, swimming and learning how to surf, I believed I would live forever. Today I see people outside exploring, working, doing, being. There's a sense of earthly immediacy, as well as a knowing of something greater. The images symbolize this duality of attachment to a worldly place, alongside spiritual awareness of something more. Something that might live forever.
